Xi Jiang Yue – 西江月

If my one blog reader is still reading, he or she may remember me mentioning the Chinese Ci poems.  辛弃疾 (xin qiji) was one of the Song poets who wrote some fine Ci poems. And here’s me reading the Xi Jiang Yue.

Here's a thing to listen to!

Rock it out

  1. I love that unexpected anger toward the pine! The Ci poets seem to have a highly personal relationship with nature. They interact with the natural world as if the pines, peonies, mountains, rivers, and thrushes were their friends or family. Sometimes sappy and sometimes snippy. Thanks for listening and commenting, CJ.
